As I browsed the 100 Pages of Marble Falls History 1887-1987 published by the Highlander back in 1987 to commemorate the Centennial of the Town, I ran across this paragraph from 1922. (Thomas E. is actually Thomas C.) Being curious about what all young Thomas accomplished during his lifetime, I did some digging. The Granite Mountain in Marble Falls put that little town on the map. When I was growing up it was called Texas Granite. (Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not an expert in the subject) Sometime in the 1970’s or 1980’s it was taken over by Coldspring Granite from Minnesota. (Depending on where you look on the internet, it is called Coldspring Granite and Cold Spring Granite) Coldsping Granite is a very old company from Cold Spring, Mn.
