RONNIE, I HOPE THAT YOU ARE MAKING A COPY OF EACH ONE OF THESE ARTICLES YOU ARE WRITING AND THAT COULD BE YOUR BOOK! YOUR LITTLE GRANDCHILDREN WILL NEVER READ THESE STORIES IF YOU DON’T.
This was a note my Mother in Law sent me 10 years ago today, which was after just a few days of posting stories on the new Angora Chronicles.
Now we turn the clock forward and Maxine lives here in Bertram with Madeline and me.
I have done as she recommended and saved each and every story.
While her memory isn’t as good as it once was, we still sit and tell each other stories of days gone by.

The young lady is my 92 year old mother in law, Maxine Sayers Jordan Sharp Husted Gatlin. She is a real sweetheart.
According to the Marble Falls population this was probably taken in the late 1940s. I think she could pass for about 16 years old in the photo.
I wonder if I’m so fond of her because she and my wife look so much alike. In fact if she is 16 in this photo, that is the age that I first laid my eyes on my lifelong sweetheart, Maddy.
This coming November 6, we will celebrate our 53rd anniversary.
I always enjoy the older photos…nowadays everyone seem to take photos of everything to the point of overload…what will the folks a hundred years in the future think of our current photo happy folks….in my daily walks through my neighborhood and being a former land surveyor, I look for survey related items…traverse points, property corners and benchmarks and take photos of same…no one but another former surveyor would possibly find them interesting….
