To know him was to witness wisdom and a lot of contradictions. I didn’t resent his tough love, for it paved my way. But if I could change one thing, it would be his struggle with alcohol.
Without that burden, he would have been near perfection, a true role model. Yet, I still treasure the lessons he taught me, and they are still within my heart.
He was selfless, always helping others in every endeavor. He possessed both physical and emotional strength, forever.
Adversity didn’t hinder him; it only made him more resilient. He taught me the worth of perseverance, and setbacks never deterred him.
Despite his flaws, love and determination shone brightly in him. I am grateful for the time we shared and his care, which served as a guiding light.
He taught me the importance of hard work and to never give up, no matter how tough things get. I learned that small rewards from hard work are more than enough.
His example continues to inspire me, urging me to find a way and push through obstacles. I will never stray from those teachings.
I am forever grateful for his guidance and support, which I hold dear. His strong work ethic and fortitude are always near.
His legacy lives on in the work I do, serving as a constant guide. He reminds me to persevere with unwavering pride.
The lessons he imparted are deep within me, a wellspring of motivation. I carry his wisdom as a source of inspiration.
It took me many years to reconcile all this inside my own soul. But the years have washed away the bad and left the good. That’s the lessons that life teach us.
POSTSCRIPT:
I feel badly for anyone that can’t forgive. “I do understand that there are things that happen that cannot allow some people to ever forgive. But for those I hope they can at least forget and move on”.
But never give up on forgiveness, it is truly a gift to yourself and those around you.
