Not too long after we had a whole house full of kids I went and bought Madeline a new suburban. It was a GMC and it was actually demonstrator. When I got home we started looking for the backseat. I figured it was folded down and you just couldn’t see it.

Come to figure out it didn’t come with a third seat. It would’ve been bolted in. So I went back and told them to order me one and they said that they couldn’t because it wasn’t equipped with the mounts for the seat or the seatbelts.

So trying to be Mr. Agreeable I said OK we will make it work. So it end up that my wife suffered with that suburban for about a year before was able to sell it to one of my friends. He didn’t need a third seat.

Why in the world would anyone buy a suburban without the third seat ?

What I just realized after writing this was this was the next vehicle after I bought her a new Buick Station-wagon when the twins were born. (Our last two sons)

Of course it had its on screwball deals. The back seat caused the passengers to sit backwards, facing out the back. They’d be needing to puke after just a few minutes.

But mostly it had no AC in the back, therefore they were hot and pukey in no time at all.
