I just drove into a vacant piece of property that I sold to LCRA the year before. Actually I was taking a shortcut to my office.
As I drove to an area that few people drive to any more there was a young lady that had parked her Prius in the middle of the road. It took her a few moments to discover that she wasn’t alone. As I set watching she was running and leaping with her hands outreached. It all looked very graceful.
After a bit she looked around and saw me, and came back to move her car. I continued on past her and to my office where I was dropping off some stuff.
When I got back in the pickup, I turned to drive back by to see if she was still back there. I met her as she was driving toward my office.
I rolled down my window as we met. “What were you doing over there a few minutes ago“, I asked. She told me she was photographing butterflies, Swallowtail Butterflies.
I guess I hadn’t witnessed anyone doing that at least that I knew of, but seems like it is it’s own art form. At least by asking I got to the bottom of the situation. Instead of just wondering.
She did say it was a great year for butterflies.
